HOUSE PASSES INTERIOR AND ENVIRONMENT APPROPRIATES BILLS June 27th, 2007---The House passed a bill to approve the budget to fund $2.805 million for the restoration of the Bodie Island Lighthouse. This is part of President Bush's recommended budget. The Senate committee and subcommittees have approved the budget and OBLHS is hopeful that it will pass the Sentate sometime after July 4th. The appropriations for restoration of Bodie Island Lighthouse have been pushed back every year for many years and this is much welcomed news!
