Bank of America donated $10,000 as seed money to start the Hatteras Keepers' Descendants Homecoming in fall of 2000. The event was May 4,5,6 2001. With this money we were able to buy office supplies, stamps, paper, etc. The communication with descendants took many, many letters and phone calls. This was the largest Lighthouse Keepers' Descendants Homecoming recorded in the United States.
