Acting as a drop off point for the food bank and where people can go to get clean-up supplies, and essentials just to make it through this time. You may write a check to the Avon Fire Dept and write a memo that it is for "disaster relief". They know what is needed and want to also restock and have things on hand for the next time the area is in need. They have really been there for the community and island through this.

Interfaith Community Outreach (ICO) is staffing a telephone information center to coordinate disaster relief services throughout Dare County for all those needing help.
