Jim O'Donnell
Jim O’Donnell with his wife, Mabry, serves as Secretary for OBLHS. Dr. O’Donnell is a professor at Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio, in the Department of History, Political Science and Religion. He has been the recipient of many academic awards. His most recent research award is the 2001 Phi Alpha Theta Faculty Advisor Research Grant. A charter member of OBLHS, he and his wife Mabry have worked tirelessly in helping to keep the organization alive and strong. Jim and his wife call Marietta, Ohio, home and they always look forward to trips to the Outer Banks.

Mabry O'Donnell
Mabry says that her resume looks as if she has spent her entire life in the hallowed halls of ivy, but she enjoys her consulting with businesses and traveling to the Outer Banks. As the coach of one of the most successful small school speech teams in the region, she understands the power of communication and the necessity of asking questions. Dr. O’Donnell has been awarded every academic prize at Marietta College, some more than once. She was chosen as the Outstanding Forensic Association Educator in Ohio, and has received the E. R. Nichols award as the Outstanding Speech Instructor in the Nation. Mabry is a consummate people watcher. She brings to our board her love of people, her attention to detail, and her ability to laugh. Mabry is a charter member and works as Secretary with her husband Jim for OBLHS.
